Remember when you were a kid and it snowed? We all remember those times, but as adults we really should think twice when the winter weather takes a turn for the worse. Ice and snow may be pretty, but they can be treacherous when driving. Here are some things to consider before stepping on the gas.

Don’t go out at all if the roads are icy. It makes no difference if you are capable to driving well during winter storms because not all drivers on the road are as talented as you. The only time you should take that risk is out of necessity. When you do go out, drive slowly and keep a good cushion between you and other drivers. Avoid using the brakes when possible, especially when lightening up on the gas pedal will achieve a similar result.

At KI-PO MOTORS CHEVROLET, INC. we suggest that you install winter tires on your vehicle before the weather turns cold.
